About Edwina Gateley
Edwina is an author, poet, public speaker and social activist. She volunteered in Africa from an early age and founded the Volunteer Mission Movement in 1969. The VMM has offices in England and Ireland and has sent over 5,000 lay missionaries to work in 26 countries throughout the world.
After spending 3 months in the Sahara Desert, Edwina went to the USA where she began an outreach programme for women in prostitution. This ministry has helped over 1,000 women leave a lifestyle of prostitution.
Edwina is author of 15 books and recipient of 17 national and international awards. She currently leads retreats and conferences internationally and continues to work with women in recovery as well as in the VMM.
