This latest collection by Monica has been inspired by the beautiful Advent and Christmas scripture imagery. It sings of the heartfelt longing for God to “….tear the heavens asunder” (Is 64:1-2) and come and simply be with us in our human reality.
Monica’s latest collection will speak to the hearts of all who wonder where God is in the face of their struggle, and offer to them an intimate experience of God’s warm and comforting presence.
The hymns and mantras from Monica’s latest CD, Comfort My People, are suitable for many liturgical seasons, particularly Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter, as well as times of grief and loss, and whenever comfort and hope are needed.
This collection of hymns and mantras is dedicated to the following Religious Congregations in Australia and Ireland, who have generously sponsored this recording, and who, in their own ministry bring comfort and hope to many in our world.

Monica’s new collection, as seen in the sample lyrics below, will speak to the hearts of all who wonder where God is in the face of their struggle, and offer to them an intimate experience of God’s warm and comforting presence.
Who will comfort my people? Who will wipe their tears? Who will heal the broken hearted? Who will bind up wounded souls?
I Myself will comfort my people. I will speak to their hearts, I myself will lead them through darkness, I will be their God.
I hear the cry of my people, I know the hunger of my poor, I share the pain of the broken….
See how the darkness is fading, See how the dawn now breaks through… © 1999 Monica Brown
A cry is heard in the wilderness, In hearts that yearn for the desert rains, How long O God, how long must we wait, To see your face and live. O that you would tear the heavens asunder, Come down to us O God, Comfort your people, Come be with us... (Is 64: 1-2) No eye has seen and no ear has heard, Of one whose glory compares with yours, With trembling hearts how we long for you… © 1999 Monica Brown
